Temporary foreign workers are still required to obtain a study permit if they wish to enroll in a program of study that exceeds six months in duration. However, as mentioned earlier, there have been recent changes to provide more flexibility for work permit holders to also study in Canada, such as allowing international students to complete their entire program online from their home country and still be eligible for a post-graduation work permit (PGWP), provided they meet all other requirements.

As mentioned earlier, the Canadian government has introduced some recent changes to provide more flexibility for work permit holders to also study in Canada. For example, work permit holders who are studying part-time can now count those hours towards their eligibility for a post-graduation work permit (PGWP). Additionally, international students who are in Canada with a valid PGWP can temporarily work in any job, regardless of whether it is related to their field of study.
